The Mysterious 1920s Speakeasy Hidden Beneath A London Barber Shop

“>

The Gobpsy is a top secret speakeasy, hidden beneath an unassuming barber shop in the City.

Shrouded in mystery, this bar can only be entered via a very ordinary, day-to-day barber shop on Fenchurch Street. Impossible to know unless you know, the door to The Gobpsy is concealed by a pretty non-suspicious towel shelf at the bottom of a set of stairs. Push the shelf and you’ll discover a glamorous, low-lit bar adorned with teal velvet and gold furnishings.

The Gobpsy is unlike any place you’ve ever been before: you’ll come for the novelty of it and stay for the unimaginably inventive cocktails. Especially if we tell you that we’ve lined up a wicked drinks deal that’ll net you two delightful cocktails for just £15. Try the Barber’s Pour for a hit of bourbon, Chambord, and coffee liqueur, or sip on The Absent Tea – tea-infused gin, lime juice, Cointreau blood orange, honey syrup, topped up with rosemary and grapefruit soda – for a fragranced tipple. Of course, you’ve got to find this place first!
