There are definitely wurst ways to spend your October…
London’s Oktoberfest celebrations have been scaled back in 2020, but one East London bar is helping us forget the troubling news with their new Oktoberfest-themed menu. Flower-filled restaurant The Folly, in the City of London, is determined to celebrate the much-loved German tradition, and they’ve got all the tools to do it.
No Oktoberfest-inspired menu would ever be complete without lots and lots of sausage, and The Folly have definitely delivered. For less than £7 you can devour the traditional bratwurst, currywurst, or their plantwurst, which is “free of meat but not of flavour”. You can also add chips or sweet potato fries to your dish for the full experience.

To accompany your meal, The Folly have selected three brilliant Bavarian beers (two pale ales and one lager) and fortunately, there’s plenty to go round. These specials are only available for a limited time, so you have from Monday October 5 to the end of the month to make the most of this fabulous German experience.
Aside from their incredible new menu, this venue has two floors worth of stunning spaces for you to relax – it really is the perfect place for drinking, dining, and unwinding. Their most popular area is the indoor garden lounge, which is filled with flowers, plants and lots of fresh produce!

Outside of their Oktoberfest menu, you’ll also find plenty of sharing boards, salads and burgers, as well as a very impressive selection of desserts. This botanical bar certainly knows how to make a good drink, and their craft beers, fancy wines, and summery cocktails tend to be the crowd favourites.
They open Mondays to Saturdays from 11am – 10pm, and you can make a booking (of less than six people) on their website. Prost to that!
