One of the world’s most iconic music venues is hosting a summery street party in London next weekend – and everybody is invited! And so when the weather is playing ball, you can bet your bottom dollar that we Londoners will be spending as much time al-fresco as physically possible. If we’re thirsty, you’ll find us in a beer garden. If we’re hungry, we’ll be picnic-ing in the park. And if we’re in the mood for a bit of a boogie. Well, folks – it turns out that the street really is the place to go. On August 1, some of the most exciting names in jazz, soul, R&B, and hip-hop will be taking to the streets of Soho for Ronnie Scott’s Street Party. The legendary London Jazz club will be setting up two outdoor stages on Frith Street; filling them to the brim with a whole host of entertainment. Oh, and the very best part? It’s completely free to attend. Ronnie Scott’s Street Party 2026 Serving up five hour’s worth of eclectic entertainment, Ronnie Scott’s Street Party will feature DJ sets, family-friendly activities, al-fresco bars, and – of course – a whole lot of live music. The party is being presented in partnership with Music Venue Trust and Save Our Scene, and will celebrate grassroots venues that give artists their early opportunities to perform, experiment, and grow. Credit: Ronnie Scott’s Having originally set up shop in the basement of 39 Gerrard Street in 1959; Ronnie Scott’s has been showing Londoners a good time for over 65 years now. The iconic independent venue was opened by Pete King and – you guessed it, folks – Ronnie Scott – and it moved to its current home on Frith Street in 1965. The (now) world-famous jazz club has been going strong ever since, having had many famous faces grace the stage over the years. Artists set to perform at this year’s street party include Blue Lab Beats, Daniel Casimir Big Band, Shae Universe, Guvna B, Summer Pearl, Marlon the Pannist, and the Ronnie Scott’s Gospel Choir. It’s set to be a day jam-packed with jazz, joy, music and merriment – what more could we possibly ask for, hey? Fred Nash, Managing Director at Ronnie Scott’s said: “Before the festivals, the awards and the headline tours, there are independent venues where musicians can experiment, find their voice and connect with audiences for the first time. Those spaces are absolutely essential to the health of British music. The Street Party is our way of opening Ronnie Scott’s up to everyone.
