Well, we had a year off this year, so excitement for Glastonbury Festival 2027 is going to be ramped up all the more. Photo by Leon Neal/Getty Images In 2026, Glastonbury took a fallow year, as it is prone to do after four consecutive festivals. There will, as such, be even more reason for demand to be through the roof for the 2027 event at Worthy Farm – so those hoping to secure a ticket will need all the details ahead of the drop. Coming up soon is the time of year you should be earmarking for your Glastonbury Festival ticket-securing calendars, which should be just the right amount of time to mentally prepare for the possibility of missing out (again). Photo by Shane Anthony Sinclair/Getty Images When do tickets to Glastonbury Festival 2027 go on sale? There is not a confirmed date for the Glastonbury ticket sale just yet. But, based on previous years, we can give a rough estimate of when that might be. If the Glasto sale is largely sticking to the usual process, the spaces up for grabs will start with a sale for coach tickets on the Thursday of the chosen week, which usually goes live at 6pm. This is then followed by a general admission sale on the Sunday morning, which tends to be from 9am. For Glasto 2025, coach tickets went on sale on November 14, 2024, with the general sale taking place on November 17, 2024. This was, however, following a two-week delay on when they were initially due to go on sale. Previous years have also seen tickets go on sale in the final weeks of October, so we can expect a date confirmed for the final few months of this year to be that of the big Glastonbury 2027 sale. Next year, we can also expect a resale of returned tickets to take place (usually around April), though these naturally include far fewer spaces, so your best hope should be the first sale. Again, these times are estimates based on previous editions of Glastonbury, and official confirmation will arrive later in 2026. Do I need to register before buying tickets to Glastonbury Festival? Yes, anyone who wishes to attend Glastonbury Festival must be pre-registered, which you can do so already here. If you’ve attended, or even tried to attend (tried being the key word), the festival before, you should already have the unique number that allows you to purchase a ticket in your name. It’s still worth checking to see if that number is still valid ahead of the sale, though. On the day of the sale, each person is allowed to buy up to six tickets, and each name they enter for their party MUST all be registered prior to the deadline. When is Glastonbury Festival 2027 taking place? Glastonbury Festival will run between Wednesday, June 23 and Sunday, June 27, 2027. The main stages host acts on Friday-Sunday, though there is music across the site throughout. How much is a ticket to Glastonbury Festival? In 2025, tickets cost £378.50 + a £5 booking fee. There is no word on whether the price will change for the 2027 event. When you secure a space, you can pay a £75 deposit, with the remaining amount usually to be paid around April in the year of the festival. Who is playing at Glastonbury 2027? There are not yet any acts confirmed to be playing Glastonbury, though that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from pushing out names of who might headline the Pyramid Stage. Names linked thus far have included Madonna, after the release of her latest record, Confessions II, Fred Again.., after his series of Ally Pally takeovers earlier in the year, and Dave, who released his hugely successful third album, The Boy Who Played The Harp, in 2025. Photo: yakub88, Shutterstock Other big rumours have included both Olivia Dean and Sam Fender, separately, though both have been enjoying joint success with their giant track, Rein Me In, as well as The Cure, Harry Styles, and Rihanna. Another name on people’s lips is, of course, Oasis, who look set to be announcing more dates for 2027. However, it’s unclear whether a slot at Worthy Farm would be on their agenda, or whether they’d stick to their own shows, with the rumours suggesting they’ll be playing plenty of nights at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester as well as returning to Knebworth. At this point, there is no shoo-in name that all the evidence says will be headliners, so any suggestion remains purely speculative. Glastonbury Festival tend to mix up when they announce the headliners, though the full lineup of the main stages tends to come a few months ahead of the event. Photo by Leon Neal/Getty Images Glastonbury 2025 was headlined by The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, so we can pretty safely rule these three acts out for the summit of the Pyramid Stage, but otherwise it’s still anyone’s guess who will take on the challenge in 2027. Keep an eye out on Glastonbury socials and our page for official dates for the 2027 ticket sales.
