The Forest Road pint mobile is the vehicle of my dreams, TBH.
Right, since the beer gardens are still closed, I think this is quite obviously the next best option: a roving pint mobile that’s bringing fresh-pulled pints to you. It’s the creation of Forest Road Brewing Company, and the premise is simple: you drop them a WhatsApp or a message on their website, and they’ll pootle on over to you to deliver the beer.
Forest Road converted their delivery van into the pint mobile, and it’s become an immediate hit. With three lines of beer available – a lager, an IPA, and a pale ale – there’s plenty of choice for thirsty punters, and no-contact delivery makes the whole thing nice and safe. Pints will cost you £5, but you’ll get to keep the glass as a memento of the time you were saved by the beer. You can order a pint on the website here, but it’s important to note that they’re only delivering in four postcodes for now: E2, E5, E8, and E9. East London, count yourself very lucky!
In other pub-related news, you can now grab merchandise that supports your favourite local boozers through the lockdown.
